Rick Warren’s S.H.A.P.E.d to Make a Difference Series

Are you ready for your members to “get in the game” of ministry? In September of 2006 Saddleback Church taught through this dynamic six week series which empowered thousands of members to begin serving God using their S.H.A.P.E.. This sermon series, along with the six week DVD small group curriculum and the S.H.A.P.E. book, created momentum and sparked significant growth.  Here is what happened at Saddleback church during this strategic series:

  • 470 new small groups were started
  • 1,100 small groups studying our new 6 week S.H.A.P.E. small group DVD curriculum.
  • 2,000 increase in adult attendance
  • 3,578 people signed up to serve in ministry

Because of Saddleback Church’s success, other churches are now following suit and creating their own church-wide series based on S.H.A.P.E. (A few have even called their series 40 Days of S.H.A.P.E.) Here is what a few other senior pastors have said about how the S.H.A.P.E. series impacted their church:

“S.H.A.P.E. generated a new wave of enthusiasm among us about discovering, developing and deploying our unique gifts, passions, talents, personality and experiences, both as individuals and together as a congregation. At the end of our S.H.A.P.E. campaign we had a record number of people enlist themselves in ministries, many of them for the very first time. S.H.A.P.E. made our church come alive!”

“40 Days of S.H.A.P.E. is the perfect sequel to Rick Warren’s “Purpose Driven Life” and the “40 Days of Purpose” campaign. For our church, “40 Days of  S.H.A.P.E.” answered the question, “What will be the contribution of your life?” Studying Erik Rees’ new book, “S.H.A.P.E.” combined with the excellent, user-friendly, small group DVD curriculum, has transformed our church forever. The “40 Days of S.H.A.P.E. Campaign” works! By the end of the 40 Days, people had discovered their unique S.H.A.P.E. for ministry. Many have already started serving in existing ministries and a good number are ready to launch new ministries. People are finally getting off the bench and into the game!”
